The Standard rooms are similar to the studio rooms in that that are traditional style hotel room, and are grouped together, but the Standard rooms have garden views. As with all the guest rooms at Rockhouse they are air conditioned. All Standard rooms are double rooms with a queen-size bed and accommodate two people. The Standard rooms can be set up to accommodate three people by adding a twin bed, or four people if they are younger guests (over 12) using bunk beds.

Room furniture includes a four post queen size bed with mosquito netting, bed side tables, desk/dresser with mirror and stool, and a two-seated table with chairs for in-room dining. This is a new furniture line specifically designed for Rockhouse and built from dressed and polished local timbers. Amenities include a room safe, a fully stocked mini bar, telephones with overseas direct dialing, luggage rack, hanging space with wood hangers, overhead or oscillating stand fan, and air conditioning. The pressurized water system with master tank storage, and power provision from the back-up generators ensure continuous service. Environmentally conscious, solar hot water is heated throughout the property, with local hot water tank backup for those very rare cloudy days, or unusually high consumption.
